The Derecho and the Storm

I don't know that the derecho haunted me necessarily but it's part of the origin story of the book. I thought gosh that is so impactful it really was a huge event and I have to make that as like a culmination of all of these other tensions and just boom. If you ask people in the DC area they'll tell you one they remember 2012 that summer June 29th 2012like what they were doing and they will tell you a story.
