The Liberal Conception of the Rule of Law
Liberalism acts like an acid bath towards the imagination of people living in it. One of the troubles is no one can imagine a world that isn't liberal anymore. St. Thomas approves of the rule of law because it's the rule of reason. Law is an independent of reason and so rather than being ruled by the passions of the moment you want to be ruled by reason which is embodied.
