The Benefits of Mass Timber in Sustainable Development
The single biggest benefit for a developer that is interested in sustainable development is the carbon capture of timber. Mass timber recreates the structural qualities of the old heavy timber buildings. It's much more rapidly renewable because it's smaller sections of dimensional lumber that are laminated together under pressure, and as such can be regrown very quickly.
