Is There a Dark Age of Social Media?

I think the world is just begging for some tech entrepreneur genius to solve this problem of how you can make social media both fun and engaging, but also not toxic. I don't see any reason in principle that's an impossible problem to solve. If it's solved in five or 10 years, we may all look back and laugh at this time in social media's history. The Constitution of knowledge has been under attack since it was put Galileo Galilei into house arrest. It stands in the way of manipulators who want to create spirals of silence without having their own influence.
