Isometric Strength Training Applied to Youth Athletes?

The joint position they adopt was similar to the joint position where the pull face of the kayaks stroke was initiated. By replacing two sets with isometric training as compared to a normal traditional strength training the carcass strength actually increased and performance on the ergometer improved.
