What's Changed in the Earlier Days?

Economist, callam williams says the oldest places where you could get ready made food differed from what we now understand as restaurants in quite a few big ways. They'd be more take aways, or stands where you might buy a drink and there would be a plate of food that was included in the price. And they were catering mainly to people who didn't have much money. The objective really was to try and provide as much food as possible at the lowest possible cost.
