The story of computer programming is fascinating, right? Because at first it was actually women's work. But nevertheless, like everything else, when you assume that it is done by women, you treat it like crab. Soo, when men finally get a clue that this is actually a kind of interesting stuff that they might want to do, they do a whole lot of work to increase their prestige. Which is great if you're ramping up exploitation of, say, video game programmes through this form of super ortime called crunching. They sort of institute all these barriers to entry to suddenly make it men's labor. And i chose to write about vido games in that chapter, both
