False Teachers Are About Asceticism, Not Hedonism

First Timothy chapter four says some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. Why would false teachers seek to cut people off from good things like marriage or, you know, foods that were meant to be received? My question is this, why is it that false teachers en are about asceticism instead of hedonism?
