Is There a Chance That You're Wrong?
The more experienced the journalist, the greater length I suspect they go to before they're willing to say, I believe this to be true. And when you're in that line of work, that's the barrier, right? Do you believe it? Can you put yourself behind it and say, no, this is what I believe to be the truth? Now, there is obviously a chance that you're wrong. But if you get a fact or two wrong, that can be used as a wedge to discredit the other 148 that he might have published.
