The Associative Leap

Some parts of this book feel very much like being high or being on maybe mushrooms or something like that because it's kaleidoscopic and that, you know, everything's also associative. I wonder if that was more tolerated from a reader's perspective. And I don't mean like a moral judgment, but just as coming to it aesthetically and what you have patience for and what you will find interesting and what you would find kind of jarringly distracting or more like a flaw.
