Is the Turnout a Sign of Polls Not Working?
When either party is going to have a good year, at the end, there's the last oomph for the party that's going to succeed. Democrats caught up with Republicans because they're marginally attached voters became strongly attached voters. Voter intensity went up. Here in the closing week, the persuadables have flipped for the Republicans. Now what we don't know is have pollsters controlled correctly for low Republican response rates.
