The Cycles of the Heavens, the Male and Female Principle
The Norse gods are going to perish in the end. They're not even eternal. Odin and Thor at Ragnarok both die at the same time that they kill their greatest adversaries. The cycles go all the way out to the changing of the ages. And what I would argue is that this has to do with showing us something about ourselves. It's like, yes, the boat is like the female generative principle.
