The Impact of False News on the Brazilian Presidential Election

There was a flurry of disinformation on Twitter, WhatsApp and TikTok about migration routes to the US. The electoral Supreme Court set the number of reports of disinformation it received had increased over 1,000% compared to 2018 presidential elections. There was a specific and rather dramatic example of apparent disulfo in this election when a TikTok user presenting himself as a Satanist expressed support for Lula.
