Is There a Conflict of Interest?
Defense contractors will work together with think tanks like the Center for Strategic and International Studies to organize conferences that are attended by national security officials. Teachers often are evolving door of staff among these three sectors. A lot of intelligence analysis by the CIA and NSA is increasingly being contracted out to these same defense contractors. There's a clear material interest and a clear conflict of interest here.
