i think there's a little bit of it that's about trying to curate better experiences for kids and give them more skills. Play does develop so many skills, like executive function skills and interpersonal skills we don't give it credit for. One of the most important schools you have to learn is to take charge of your own life. That i have to be in charge of my own life. Have to be responsible for my own actions.
