Germany's Energy Vendor

After the war, European leaders fleshed out a plan to accelerate Europe's long-run transition off of fossil fuels. They asked people to turn down their thermostats, banned Russian coal and invested in more renewables. At the same time, they spent a ton of money to get liquefied natural gas from other parts of the world. Germany is counting on LNG as an alternative to the natural gas it used to receive via pipeline from Russia.
