I think the clearest read on it is just that the economic situation changed, right? The surplus money that was circulating around these scenes just doesn't really exist anymore. There are still lots of musical subcultures happening, you know, people pursuing music in some kind of way but nowhere near what we would have experienced coming up. I mean, let's say, subcultural stuff that peaked or spiked kind of at the end of the 2010s just kind of was the last one.
