The Rise and Fall of Gaga
In 2012 and 2013, Gaga embarked on a year-long concert tour she dubbed The Born This Way Ball. After months of pain from her onstage dance moves, Gaga discovered she had developed a labral tear in her right hip. She was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia and began taking opioids to deal with her chronic pain. By early 2013, Gaga had already started work on her third album and announced the title, Art Pop. It promised to be her most daring spectacle to date.
