Carmen Acevedo's recent book practice of the presence is a revolutionary translation of Brother Lawrence of the resurrection. David Dalton: I want to ask about some of your translational choices and one in particular that jumped out to me was as you translate Brother Lawrence talking about the person of God. What was the choice and why did you follow Brother Lawrence as you rediscovered this option within the text? Carmen Acevedo: So, Brother Lawrence is a product of his time. He also is very much as a mystic somebody who is a Trinitarian in a lived way.
