Trinitite: A Type of Stone

Trinitite is a type of glass made from the sand turn to glass when they tested the first bomb. It's light green glass and it was just left there. Most of it was bulldozed by the US Atomic Energy Commission and buried but some of it's still there because ants will bring it to the surface. An actress called Merle Oberon wore some of it to a fundraiser. Supposedly this is quite dark to discredit Japanese claims about radiation injury. They've been thinking about using one of these bombs in an attempt to get deeper and deeper into the ground. But because of the what that's supposed to be, I don't know if we'll ever have them.
