The film is more about creating an instant sense of unease so it's more about playing with the geography. The shot selection is primarily the way that he the director sort of exercises that muscle in this film by putting you on edge with an odd shot choice. He just uses every part of like the horror movie and he uses it so well that yeah I need to watch rewatch Marianne today. There's so much of what makes really really good horror.
