Today is the one year anniversary of the first of the devastating floods that hit northern New South Wales and Southeast Queensland last year. One year later, many flood victims still have not gotten their lives back. A survey released this month found that just over half were living in the unfinished shells of their flooded homes. Almost one in five were in tents or temporary shelter.
