The Importance of Intention in Green Cities

Vienna has been named the best city in the world to live in every year since 2009. Women proved to be active agents of sustainability when involved in urban planning, says Frida Ghitis. Most sustainable cities are also the ones with highest representation of women in policymaking and leadership positions. This gendered approach will not only make green cities more inclusive of women, it will also make them greener.
