Why UCC Didn't Do Enough to Protect Themselves
The amount of water in the tank has been disputed, but some believe it could have been put there intentionally. Indian scientists suggest that additional water might have been introduced as a backflow from the defectively designed vent gas scrubber. UCC claims to know for a fact that they were sabotaged, and they claim to know who did it, yet they never pursued the matter legally. The fact is, sabotage or not, UCC didn't do enough to protect these people, and as a result many are still suffering to this day.
