The Great Fire of London
St Paul's was made of stone, unlike lots of places in the city of London. There was a natural firebreak around St Paul's because there was a place called St Paul's churchyard. The lead sheeting at the top of St Paul's Cathedral melted away, ran down the cathedral. And it was absolutely devastating for people to see this happen. Now begins the great task of reconstructing the ravaged city.
