Many would say we're called to forget what is behind and focus on the present and the future. I get that objection a lot over the years, but my response usually is you know Jesus might live in your heart but grand polities in your bones. We have families legacies both positive and negative that have shaped us from one generation to the next which is why we use the genogram as part of our regular practice at New Life.
