This year's protests led by the black life's matter movement reveal to much of this country something they never knew about. So it's time to go back. Our story begins exactly one year before the moody park riot would shake houston. It was early on the morning of may eighth, 19 77, when one of j c Freeman's pontoon tour boats was navigating through the already steamy, slow moving water of houston's buffalo bayou.
