Is There a Genetic Nature to Body Focus Repetitive Behaviors?

There are often genetic variants to this. I would say though, probably 75 % of pa patients i've worked with with b f r b will have somebody in the family, a who has also engaged in those behaviors. It's not uncommon that they might have a parent, let's say, who a had tricatilomania,. or some of those no behavior some of which were diagnosed and treated.
