You Don't Have Jobs, but Everyone Has Everything
You only need UBI to exist if the rate of progress of productivity is not as it's fast enough to displace people from jobs. No, this is something I think we get wrong. Why do you need a job in a world where AI has created like the Star Trek Replicator where anybody can just create anything out of thin air? So I think this argument works in the aggregate. It fails when you're talking about like a small community or like an individual person.
