The Influence of K-Pop on Music, Beauty, and Fashion
K-pop draws a lot of influences from African American culture but also they work with like the songwriters who are behind like Britney Spears as big as hits. I would argue that the defining moment for K-pop was probably when BTS spoke at the UN in around 2018. China has basically imposed a kind of wide-ranging entertainment crackdown across the entertainment industry on everything from celebrity and fandom culture to cracking down on influencer tax evasion. They're own Chinese former K-pop idols like Jackson Wang or Victoria Song from FX, who are now based out of the motherland and pursuing these lucrative second wind careers back home.
