The kamikaze comes out of the sun, the 20 millimeter gunner on Indianapolis had reportedly less than 15 seconds to react. The Japanese aircraft was a KI-43 Oscar, which was a fighter. It carried a bomb, though, at this specific instance. And it's thought that they at least hit the pilot because the airplane tried to swerve out of the way of tracer fire and actually swerved into the way of the tracer fire. So more than likely the pilot was either wounded or killed.
