Hester street seems to be like such an unlikely movie to exist at all. Its it's a black and white movie made n 19 seventies. Your part is mostly in yiddish. Did you grow up with relatives? I do not. Because my grandparents came from russian austria. My grandmother believed that was american, and she clung to that. And basically refused to speak yiddish to me at all. So i really learned it by repetition repetition repetition with this teacher, an actor from the iddish theatre. And i've just worked really hard.
