Food is absolutely something that we are all supposed to enjoy. Food should not be your only coping mechanism. Sometimes you really might want to just have some ice cream if you're having a tough day, or maybe you're on your period and you just need a little pick me up. Andi definitely i can relate to the feelings of shame and embarrassment that can be caused from using food as a coping mechanism. We really have to work through the throes of culture and help them adopt more intuitive eating principles in their lives.
