The Wagner Group's Interest in Sudan
The danger is that if there is not a very rapid end to the fighting, that those outside parties will provide money, arms, fuel and political support to their favorites. The Russians are trying to expand their footprint in Africa at the moment, and Sudan seems to be one of their target countries. There's also an interest by the Russian government in trying to establish a naval base on the Red Sea.
