The Rolls Royce Trent 900 Engine
The ATSB found that during manufacturing, the Rolls Royce Trent 900 engine, we've talked about this engine before. The problem resulted in a critically reduced wall thickness within the counter bore region of the oil feed stub pipe. This mistake was either detected or declared during inspection and was released in a service. On May 18, 2011, the ATSB stated that 53 of the Trent 900 engines were removed from service.
