Blockchain and ESG: How We Can Use It for Good
There's just a lot of financial opportunity in crypto and web three right now. But there is so much good that blockchain can be used for. There are things like projects, Starling, which are trying to capture records and images in war torn regions. And they live on across multiple blockchains, including Hedera. Those are areas where those are incredible stories. UCL has done some studies in terms of the energy consumption of various proof of stake networks. They found that Hedera, you can actually do about 70 transactions on the Hedera network before you use the same amount of energy as one swipe of your Visa card.
