The Public Interest in RTE Deals

Is there a public interest here in knowing how these deals are done? Who is striking the deal for RTE, which is funded by us? Aren't we entitled to ask that question? Ultimately, RTE can't have it both ways here. They can't be coming in with the bell box saying they need additional funding and then not provide transparency on their own accounts. All of the RT executives have gone to ground, disappeared. This would not be tolerated by an RTE program or radio show. And that's RTE's difficulty here.
