Walkability is the lowest cost infrastructure investment that any city authority could invest in. It doesn't require building tunnels and bridges which tend to bankrupt cities or bankrupt people funding the city. If public transport or living close to your work is not affordable people won't be able to do it. Taking action on climate change can also be about improving our health, social connections and all that kind of thing.
