Freemasonry's Strategic Tactics in the 1800s
In 1793, South Carolina officials apprehended some French emissaries from St. Damagu with papers in their possession outlining plans for a general insurrection of Negroes in the southern states. Recruits and Gabriel's rebellion were made acquainted with the plot wholly or in part according to their rank. As neighborhood slaves joined, they were sworn to a strict oath of secrecy and fidelity. This shouldn't at all be surprising. Throughout history, ancient history, it's a very common tactic. It strategically can be largely successful if used correctly.
