Elixir and Phoenix: A New Web Server and a New Mission Statement

There are a handful of commits against ranch and cowboy a year. I don't actually think that there's a whole lot of appetite on his part for for doing that work, at least not, you know, with that sponsorship for it. Quick is essentially completely reimagining what TCP would be if it was built in the modern day. It's an enormous undertaking to build this and it's arguable that most of the implementation of at least the quick layer belongs with Erlang itself. The intent of banded as a library is largely to try to just try to get away from that.
