You're Never Going to Sell Equity, Right?

I had this moment where I realized that based on the multiples of software companies, I had built this business that was worth like $50 million. So already anything that would have solved any of your needs and your childhood overcompensation and everything, you were already there. And so it was just sort of this thing. Early team member who had equity had left, I had bought back his equity and says, yeah, equity never has value if you're not going to sell. But they'd done these secondary rounds and I realized like, oh, if you build a valuable company, someone will always want to buy a part of it. Yeah.
