An Early Modern Teenage Werewolf
Not Just the Tudors
00:00
Introduction
In 1603, a 13-year-old French shepherd boy called Jean Crennier tried to impress three teenage cowgirls by telling them he had a magic wolf skin that turned him into a wolf. Soon Jean was hauled before the local judges on trial for being a werewolf who had killed a number of babies, children and livestock in the region. In this edition of not just the tutors, Professor Suzanne Ellipsky is joined by Dr Jan Mackelson to find out more about this tragic case.
