How Do You Turn Resistance Into Therapy?

The way you work with resistance depends on your personality as well as the tools that we've developed and what's going on with the patient. But the common denominator is to let the death of the therapist codependent ego, the therapist helping ego,. The urge to help patients is also the cause of nearly all therapeutic failure. And so with the new techniques that we'veDeveloped, the therapist instead becomes the patient. You turn into the patient's subconscious resistance and represent the resistance to the patient in a flattering way - it usually happens 90% of the time or more. Suddenly the patient's resistance disappears paradoxically and they have this incredible urge to work with you.
