The Differentiation of Emotions in Groups
There are many situations in which people use their emotions as a tool to influence the collective emotion. We also show it in much larger groups, for example, liberals in the US see that other people in the US don't feel any guilt. And we find that when they learn that people don’t feel any guilt, they actually amplify their guilt in order to bring in more people into the process and change other people's views.
