How to Write a Book One Bite at a Time
I used to write a full sized novel in three months. Now i'm older, i have grandchildren and i want to play with them. So now i take five months. But i sit down and i print out a blank paper calendar of those five months. I mark through, put an x through every saturday, because i believe in taking a day of rest. Period. And then i count the number of available days that i can work. For draft one, i put right one through three thousand words. The second draft finishes off the first draft.
