The Psychology of Perception
The author is a psychology professor at the University of California, San Francisco. He says that perception can be very subjective and important to understand in game design. In his master class he shows an image of color stripes arranged in such a way that for people who've played Street Fighter, they immediately see Street Fighter characters in there. For others it's like what I don't, I don't see anything really meaningful. That specific input, you might not perceive it in the same way depending on your attachment to that particular game.
