What's the Risk of a CIO?
An opportunity that's missed is kind of a risk in reverse. If i don't follow up on my opportunities, i wind up becoming obsolete. I get araby and bed or amazon or oberd out of business. Over along period of time, i'm really good at what i do, and what i do becomes increasingly irrelevant. You know, we're in the acceleration economy. So if you're not moving as fast as everybody else, what happens? You lose the race. And that's where boards have to say, where does technology give me that opportunity, that edge?
