Why Do Humans Get Married?

Marriage is a cultural universal, but why do humans get married? I think the answer is largely because it was very useful. The first rules that our ancestors evolved were sexual rules of who wed. When you get married to somebody, this is an official social commitment. You're marrying into a group with certain beliefs that you're supposed adhere to. So it's a very powerful way of connecting people in social and political and economic ways. And and so it's evolved everywhere. Ye. This is a natural time to sagwher.
