The Mockingcast
The Power of Monochromatic Casting
I think it's awesome like an alley-long is great and you know there's a part of me that's like this is a little bit of reparations because it's just been like a giant white wall of white people on shows. I love to listen to interviews with actors and actresses when they talk about how they want to get beyond just telling the same stories right about their culture but perhaps be able to tell real stories that certainly their culture would impact. A monochromatic cast allows the people to be people so you're not playing out racial dynamics you're playing out existential ones which I thought was very interesting as well.
