The Three Elements of a Mortal Sin
We have to confess all mortal sins. It has to be grave matter, right? The content of the sin is grave. And thirdly, I have to freely choose to do it. So these are the three elements or three aspects of what constitutes a mortal sin. Take matter, serious sin. I knew it was a serious sin and I freely chose to do it anyways.
